In addition to sharing beautiful art, the mission of the Art Gallery for Better Lives is to assist children to lead sustainable lives. A percentage of all sales goes to support https://betterlives.org, a nonprofit charitable foundation. They have several projects in Africa and Cambodia, and the photographs below show a program that teaches children to grow their own breakfast.

Art Gallery for Better Lives

Towards the end of 2024, Christopher Wade established the Art Gallery for Better Lives at 219 Main Street in Seal Beach, California. He searched for talented local artists to participate in a collaborative gallery. Ten experienced artists enthusiastically chose to join. The appeal of exhibiting and selling their work is obvious, but they were also attracted by the fact that a portion of proceeds would go to the Better Lives Foundation to help with their projects for children. The first group of artists collaborated on creating an attractive and welcoming gallery, with art in a variety of media and styles, and with differing price points, so almost everyone will be able to find a painting that is beautiful, uplifting, inspiring, or just plain fun for them.

“It is an honor to be part of the Art Gallery for Better Lives as it not only displays art by local artists in an inviting gallery but has additional purpose.  A portion of sales goes to an organization that helps and teaches families in poor areas in Africa and Asia. For example, money goes to help families build school desks for their children; also family members learn how to grow produce to be more self sufficient. The artists are proud to help make a difference in people’s lives.”
